Center For Dermal Research at Rutgers Celebrates Year of Astonishing Growth

Rutgers Skin Research Center Fetes Skin Care Executives
PISCATAWAY, N.J.- On April 19th, 2012, Center for Dermal Research (CDR) hosted its first year anniversary event and champagne reception, “Skin Care: Developments on the Horizon,” at its headquarters in the Life Sciences building in Piscataway, on the Rutgers Busch campus. After just one year of operations, the CDR at the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials (NJCBM) has become the premier dermatopharmaceutics research center in New Jersey. It has 20 prominent members from the skin care industry, including Avon, Johnson & Johnson and Lonza, as well as individual members, many of whom attended the event Tuesday (see photographs).

“New Jersey is the place to be for our industry,” said Director Bozena Michniak-Kohn, PhD, Professor of Pharmaceutics at the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy and CDR founder. “We hope to continue to attract the best talent to our Center and to grow, as the science develops. The last decade has been explosive for skin care research.”
