Job Fair for Veterans | Call for business leaders to participate from Assemblywoman Donna Simon

September 10, 2012

Re:      Job Fair for Veterans

Dear New Jersey Business Leader,

I am writing to you today to request your participation in a Veterans Job Fair that I am organizing on October 24, 2012 from 10 am to 1 pm. It will be held at the National Guard Armory on Route 12, Raritan, in Hunterdon County. If you could attend or send a representative from your business to meet with veterans and discuss employment opportunities, I know we will have a successful event.

While there are many practical advantages to hiring a veteran, such as the on the job skills they learned in the military, there are also financial incentives. The federal government has a Returning Heroes Tax Credit and The Wounded Warrior Tax Credit which provide tax credits for hiring veterans. These incentives will provide necessary relief for your company while your business will benefit from the tremendous skill set that veterans possess.

If you would like to participate or have any questions, please contact my Director of Communications, Chris Spangler at 908-968-3304 or to reserve your table. I look forward to seeing you there.
