RVCC TO OFFER FREE SKILLS TRAINING FOR AREA WORKERS

Workforce Development at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC), in partnership with the NJ Business and Industry Association (NJBIA) and the NJ Community College Consortium, is offering free skills training for workers of area businesses.

Funding for the classes is being provided by the NJ Department of Labor & Workforce Development. Interested students must be currently employed at least 20 hours per week by a New Jersey business. Employee documentation is required.

Programs are being offered in Verbal & Written Communication, English as a Second Language and Computers. The following classes will be held at RVCC @ Bridgewater, located at 14 Vogt Drive:

Basic Communication (Verbal and Written) for Improved Customer Service (12 hours)
October 25 & November 8, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Excel 2007 Intermediate
October 12, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Excel 2010 Intermediate
October 12, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Transition from Microsoft Office 2003 to Microsoft Office 2010
October 19, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Excel 2007 Beginner
October 26, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Excel 2010 Beginner
October 26, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
