Superstorm Sandy has forever changed the way Verizon builds its network.

Jim Gerace, the regional vice president of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, recently told the New Jersey Alliance for Action that the storm caused $1 billion in damage to the Verizon network, including 7,000 downed utility poles and 15,000 destroyed cables. Continue Reading
