Princeton, NJ – July 08, 2013 – The New Jersey Technology Council (NJTC) 5th annual Health Information Technology Summit will take place July 11, 2013 at the New Jersey Hospital Association in Princeton, New Jersey. An industry pioneer, the NJTC conference showcases health IT successes and trends, and provides a spotlight for visibility around both. The conference brings together professionals from public and private healthcare organizations for education, networking, and an exhibition of healthcare products and services.

John Lumpkin, MD, MPH, senior vice president and the director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Health Care Group, will deliver the keynote address. Dr. Lumpkin has participated directly in the health and health care system, first practicing emergency medicine and teaching medical students and residents at the University of Chicago and Northwestern University before going on serve as the first African American director of the Illinois Department of Public Health for over a decade. As director, he led improvements to programs dealing with women’s and men’s health, information and technology, emergency and bioterrorism preparedness, infectious disease prevention and control, immunization, local health department coverage and the state’s laboratory services.
The Health Information Technology Summit will address the explosion of technology innovation that is driving the ongoing healthcare revolution.
